No such thing as a set menu
Imagine this: huge wooden platters in the centre of each table, where everyone tucks in and helps themselves. People chatting, passing dishes, pointing, laughing and sharing. Your guests are involved in the meal and enjoying each others’ company. See the room come alive as each course arrives – watch people interact as they talk, pass, laugh and try new things. There’s no hushed clink of cutlery at a Garlic Wood wedding – the ambient volume in the room rises when Sharing Feasts arrive.
The biggest meal of your life so far could be an experience that you and your guests will remember forever. You can have a wedding feast with noise and excitement, informal chatter and ethically sourced good food with a modern, rustic twist.
If you’d like to talk weddings please get in touch and let us know the dates, location ideas and guest numbers. This is not a package wedding service, so we need you to be involved in the preparations. There is no such thing as a set menu here – Toby works closely with each couple to develop a bespoke menu for your wedding day.
Often, couples come to visit and look around our premises so they can see exactly where the food comes from. We can talk through themes and ideas until we have a provisional menu narrowed down, at which point we would arrange a tasting session. This could be just you and your parents, or we might hold a tasting day where lots of couples come along and try everything in a celebratory atmosphere rich with the swapping of hints and tips.
Many of our couples are people who want to plan things for themselves, and have chosen unusual or spectacularly rural locations. Rest assured, Toby can cook for you anywhere – bringing a full field kitchen that will be gone in the morning as though it was never there.
You could bring your fiancé to meet us, and try our street food, at Horsham Market every Thursday and Saturday.
